RIM going Bold again – 9780
Oh yeah! This may come across as old but from time tested knowledge comes the saying “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.
This is the Bold we’ve been waiting for … and RIM has been kind enough to give us an early refresh of THE MOST POPULAR and stellar Bold – the 9700.
You know how RIM is rolling … BB6, Webkit Engine which I can vouche using the Torch 9800 that this is a BEAST – renders HTML emails properly! The screen orientation of the 9700/9780 is just perfect.
We get the bonus 5MP camera with consistent AutoFocus – which means faster pictures – just hoping the quality is a monumental improvement over the Torch 9800’s camera. Regarding video recording – nothing is officially mentioned in the press release or known but I’m HOPING for 720p.
You can BET the upcoming Bold pure replacement – The BlackBerry Pure (that name rights are MINE) – may just have 802.11b/g/n, 720p @ 30fps video recording, GPS auto tagging and 1 click posting to BBM, FaceBook, MySpace or other 3rd party applications that are using the correct API’s.
